Welcome Reader:

Whether you've just now tuned in to my life, or have been keeping up with my inner thoughts for quite some time now,
I welcome you.

Though you may or may not be entertained by my thoughts, it is for MYSELF that I pen a blog.

As a writer, I enjoy expressing myself.
When I write long romance novels, I am inside my head so much, I forget to focus on reality.

By writing once and a while on my blog, when the mood hits me, I have the freedom to come and go.
To pull up a chair and order lemonade or an ice cream sundae.
To either gobble it down, or eat it ever so slowly...

...until it melts into a concoction that resembles mushy milk.

Pull up a chair! Have a read. I hope you enjoy it.
I do...and that's what really matters.

Our Country Christmas

This year we had our country Christmas
with snowflakes twirling and family gathering,
Homemade decorations and patchwork garland
warm the hearts, of all who look, and really see...

This year we had our country Christmas
with Yankee Candles flickering and scenting the air,
Homemade cookies and spiced apple cider
warms the tummy, warms the spirit,
reminds me of Christmases long ago...
before I was born...
perhaps in a previous life...
when I lived in the
Little House on the Prairie

Three Heads

Ya know how when you eat ice cream really fast you get a cold headache?
I don't have a COLD headache, just a NAGGING headache.
Good thing I only have one head, and not three,
Otherwise I might have to lasso three nooses and gang me!

Three Visitors

Today I had the most wonderful day!

Three people came to visit

and be entertained my me and hubby,

The Three Wise Men, The Three Stooges,

Three Musketeers, or Three Dwarfs

more like it,

Happy, Silly, and Goofy!

Thanks...We had a terrific time!

Keep Walkin'

I was taught that if you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all.

There is a jerk in the past that keeps rearing her ugly head.

She's very upsetting and vulgar and brings out the worst in people.

To anyone who meets up with devils in your path,

please, do yourself a favor, walk away...say nothing...just keep walkin!

I use the brown font color because it reminds me of this terrible person...

who must have some positive trait in her life...Lord...what can that possibly be?

If she has one, illuminate me!

Ho, Ho, Ho and Handing Out Sweets

Oh, here is a sweet image!
Me, playing Santa Claus, holding little Steeley and Lyla
while they slumber, while unbeknown to them
their great auntie, dressed in a red suit and a fake beard,
sits at Sheila's 'Halos'
whilst awaiting kids to come give Santa a haircut.
Sneaky Sheila, she's a savvy business-tycoon!

Steeley and Lyla are now 4 1/2 !
This photo was some time ago,
yet still, in my heart,
I want to take every opportunity I get
to play the wonderful, jolly old man.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,
at the daycare center where I work part-time,
I'm scheduled to play Santa and visit two classrooms.
I'll be the guest-of-honor with rosy cheeks,
saying 'Ho, ho, ho!' and handing out sweets!

HE'S COOOOOOMING!

HE'S COOOOOOMING! MY GREAT NEPHEW IS COOOOOOOMING!

Lisa's Published Non-Fiction Articles

It's been several years since I had two non-fiction articles published
in the national trade magazine called, 'Water Well Journal.'

I was paid $200.00 each!

At work, our new webpage is being developed and
Tasker's Well www.taskerswell.com
invited me to attach the links to my articles.
Naturally, I was thrilled!

Take a few moments and read my work:

Prayer Does Work

The first big snowstorm of the season is happening today. Not wanting to travel to and from work in bad weather with dangerous roads, I called and asked for the day off. They said yes.

I decided to bake cookie bars for the cookie swap coming up.

When the lights flickered three times and I still had 15 minutes to go on my cookie bars finishing in the oven, I prayed "Please Lord, just give me a few more minutes so these can finish." So the power stayed on (and I turned up the oven heat). I took the bars out one second and the power went off the next second.

Prayer does work!

Even for silly things!

How cool is that!

POTTER'S CLAY

I am not always right,
sometimes I am wrong,
and I'll even admit it.

I am not always happy,
sometimes I am sad,
but I try not to show it.

I am not always _____,
sometimes I am ______,
_____________________.

Go ahead...fill in the blanks.
No one is perfect...
...that's what's so special about us.

He is the potter,
We are the clay!
